It's juicy and vibrant on the palate offering delicate fruit intensity with a lengthy mouth-watering finish. At its best: now to 2022" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Feb 2022

It is light salmon in colour, with a bright fragrant bouquet of strawberries, redcurrents, citrus blossom, and white fleshed peach. On the palate it is dry and finely textured, with fresh and vibrant minerality. The complementary varieties ensure the wine remains fleshy and supple, while also adding aroma and structure.

Main Divide is the local name for the Southern Alps and is the backbone of the South Island, where grapes for Main Divide are exclusively sourced.
Vineyards have been selected for their quality and ability to express unique regional flavours.

Settled weather over flowering provided a healthy fruit set, which was then thinned back to desired levels. The ensuing summer was dry with very little rain, resulting in perfectly ripened small berries full of intense flavour and concentration. Thankfully, our harvest was able to proceed during the C-19 lockdown, and an unbroken autumn full of warm days meant each variety was picked at its optimum maturity.

Carefully selected grapes from a unique assemblage of complementary varieties were harvested to make this wine. Due to the very hot summer, we
were able to harvest earlier than usual, allowing the berries to retain good levels of natural acidity. The free run juice was given a small amount of skin contact to add some colour. Fermentation was carried out in stainless steel vats at a cool temperature to retain varietal purity and freshness, with the wine being bottled shortly after.

Food Pairing: Complements a strawberry salad with pastrami & salted pistachios.
