It's a berry bomb and absolutely delicious. Lab Fab! And in case you're wondering... yes, the owner of this winery is a Lab owner. Lab Vinho Tinto is a very aromatic red packed with berry fruit and plummy complexity. Notes of ripe black and red fruits. On the palate, juicy plums and dark berry fruit flavours with plenty of fresh yet fine tannin that adds structure to the finish, along with flavours of spice and liquorice. Just delicious and deserving of its four Gold Medals. 

This is a very rich blend, made with the well-known grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, and also the most prestigious Portuguese grape: Touriga Nacional. This combination gives this wine with a deep ruby colour, with intense aromas of dark and red berry fruits, combined with spicy beautiful oak notes from the long ageing in French oak barriques. In the palate, it has a full body, where dark berry fruit notes dominate in a very smooth way, balanced by well-integrated and silky oak notes, having a long finish also with some spice hints.

This wine and its use of a Labrador motif has won over many wine drinkers to Portuguese wines in recent years. It is smooth, but with character and a set of red and dark berry flavours. Soft enough for drinking on its own, it copes very well with grills or barbecues, and is lovely with mature cheeses too.
