The estate was established in the early 20th Century by Arnaud’s great grandfather, Fernand who was convinced that such a wild and untapped terroir was full of potential. Located at an altitude between 200 to 350 metres above sea-level in the heart of the of the Corbières Massif, the high altitude, rugged, rocky limestone-clay soils are interspersed the typical ‘Garrigue’ scrublands under the intense Mediterranean sun, where low cropped vines produce intensely flavoured, characterful wine. The estate is certified organic using natural fertilization, companion-crop plantings and plowing to promote a balanced ecosystem and healthy soil.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e70% Syrah, 20% Grenache, 10% Carignan is sourced from the terroir consisting of clay and pebbles gives both generosity and structure. After careful selection in the vineyard and manual harvest the grapes are completely destemmed followed by a gentle pressing.
