Succulent and salivating with a pleasing mineral vein and a long crisp apple finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\r\n\t2019 started off well with above average rainfall and temperatures but turned very nasty during mid-November where we had six inches of snow on the ground. We escaped any frost damage but did lose some vine shoots due to snow loading. The weather picked up for a warm and dry summer with really good heat. Autumn was cool with the return of now unwelcome rain. The fruit and vines were in very good condition and stood up well the late rain. The fruit came into the winery in excellent condition.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\r\n\tOur 2019 Luminaire comes from Alexandra. We used the fruit from a specific part of the vineyard due to the fruits suitability to make a great Blanc de Noir: Lower colour skins, larger berry size, and very pretty fruit flavours. The 100 Pinot Noir fruit was handpicked then gently whole bunch pressed to minimise colour pick up. The resulting juice was clean racked for cool batch fermentation. Eight years of organic, no-till regenerative farming, including our slow winter sheep grazing, and permanent flock of sheep have made a real impact on our vine health and the health of the grapes which is evident in the purity of the fruit from Riverblock.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 2024 vintage in Bannockburn started with favourable spring conditions, leading to a normal crop set. El Niño brought dry weather from mid-November to February, along with high winds across Central Otago, however Terra Sancta's sheltered sites fared well. A 24 January frost caused no major damage, and a welcome rain on 21 February, along with cooler nights, supported steady ripening with harvest beginning on 26 March. Despite the challenges, our mature vines produced high-quality fruit, reflected in the vibrant flavour and complexity of this Blanc de Noir.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is the colour and taste of Terra Sancta Pinot Noir in its most natural form with no skin contact or time in oak.
