A concentrated wine from the Marlborough’s Wairau Plain which is dark and dense ruby in colour with purple highlights.  Sweet ripe red plum, vanilla and blackcurrant aromas fill the glass. The palate displays flavours of ripe juicy plums, blackberries and a hint of aromatic floral notes. A full and round palate structure is supported with silky tannins and well balanced acidity, interlaced with a touch of savoury oak to finish.
Fruit for this wine was held cold for five days prior to ferment to help extract maximum flavour. It was aged in seasoned French oak until the right balance was achieved and then gently extracted and prepared to bottle.

Drinking well now, this wine will continue to develop and impress for up to five years from vintage date.
