With this delightful mixed case of their Estate Range wines they are now offering an opportunity to truly explore this concept with a fabulous section of wines perfect for everyone's palate. You could say there is a wine for every occasion in here!

This case includes:

1 x Mount Riley Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Multifaceted exhibiting vibrant aromas of lime zest, gooseberries, feijoas and currant with a touch of herbal infusion. Weighty mouthfeel with intense although refined flavours finishing with a crisp, delectable acidity.

A record breaking warm summer coupled with unseasonal late summer rain made the 2018 growing season hugely challenging. However, with vigilant and timely picking decisions we were able to ensure our principles of high quality and capture those enticing Marlborough flavours that create Mount Riley’s classic and highly sought after Estate Sauvignon Blanc.

Our 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is a blend from multiple vineyard sites throughout Marlborough, with a portion from the Awatere Valley and the balance from the Wairau Valley. Grapes were crushed and destemmed prior to pressing and fermentation was induced by the introduction of carefully selected yeast strains. We fermented in stainless steel at cool temperatures to preserve the lifted aromatics in this wine.

Drinking well now; this wine can be enjoyed until late 2020.

Food Pairing: Great as an aperitif or match with seafood, smoke fish, fresh salads or chargrilled vegetables

Alc 12.5% Seal: Screw Cap

1 x Mount Riley Marlborough Chardonnay 2017

Displaying a bright straw colour in the glass. A bouquet of stone fruits, citrus and melon notes are complimented by spice, gunflint and toast from a touch of oak. An approachable wine with inviting bright fruit flavours and great texture and roundness on the palate. The oak influence delivers complexity and length of flavour while the balanced acid provides a fresh finish.

The grapes for this wine were grown in the Wairau Valley region of Marlborough. This wine is made from grape parcels where 80% was fermented in new and seasoned French barriques and 20% was fermented in stainless steel. This style of winemaking enables us to craft a wine with bright fruit forward characters while still ensuring complexity and the depth of flavours imparted by oak influence. Partial malolactic fermentation was allowed for the barrel portion of the wine while it aged for 7 months on lees.

Drink Drinking well now; this wine will continue to drink well up to 2021.

Food Pairing: Match with seafood, light meats and cheese.

Alc 14% Seal: Screw Cap

1 x Mount Riley Marlborough Pinot Gris 2018

Bouquet Bright florals with apple and pear notes underscored with a fresh herbal seam with compliments of spice. The wine is off-dry with ripe fruit flavours, rich texture and balanced acidity.

The grapes for this wine were grown in the Wairau and Awatere Valley’s of Marlborough. The Awatere fruit provides freshness and acidity and the Wairau fruit a riper flavour spectrum. Warm summer temperatures made for the perfect conditions to create mouthwatering flavours in this classic Mount Riley wine.

We harvested the fruit during the night in cool temperatures so that the natural flavours and aromatics were preserved. The grapes were gently pressed and the juice settled prior to fermentation. A small percentage was fermented in barrel to accentuate texture and complexity in the wine while the remainder was fermented in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures to retain the bright, varietal aromatics.

Drinking well now; this wine can be enjoyed until late 2021.

Food Pairing: Great with white meat, veal, Asian food, and cheeses.

Alc 12.5% Seal: Screw Cap

1 x Mount Riley 'The Bonnie' Marlborough Pinot Rosé 2018

Bright and fresh with aromatics of strawberry, redcurrant and candied cherry with hints of floral and vanilla. Dry in style with delicate red fruit and refreshing acidity. The sweet fruit is well balanced by a touch of tannin providing texture and length.

Our Pinot Rosé was made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris grapes. The Pinot Noir grapes were crushed and destemmed and held in our press for 24 hours before being gently juiced to tank. Hand selected parcels of Pinot Gris grapes were chosen to blend into the tanks before fermentation was prompted by the introduction of carefully selected yeast strains. This delightful blend was fermented at cool temperatures to encourage and preserve its bright, lifted aromatics.

Drinking well immediately; this wine can be enjoyed until late 2020.

Food Pairing: Great on a summer afternoon matched with crayfish, salad nicoise or simple cold cuts while on a picnic.

1 x Mount Riley Marlborough Merlot Malbec 2018

AWARDED Silver Medal:  NZ International Wine Show 2017

AWARDED Silver Medal: New World Wine Awards 2017

Magenta purple in the glass. Bright, black and red fruits, complemented with spice, chocolate and mocha aromas. A medium bodied wine with dark berries and plum fruit flavours and soft, supple tannins.

The grapes for this wine were grown at low yields in our premium Marlborough vineyards located in the central Wairau Valley. A fruit driven style of bordeaux red with plenty of juicy dark and red fruits and a soft tannin structure. The wine was matured in a mixture of French and American oak barriques, with 10% new, for ten months before blending. Drinking well now or cellar until 2021.

Food Pairing: Excellent matched with red meat and game.

Alc 13% Seal: Screw Cap

1 x Mount Riley Marlborough Pinot Noir 2017

Mid-red with garnet and ruby hues in the glass. A real mix of aromatics with more red fruit influence than usual with plenty of cherry, plum and floral along with hints of dried herb. An approachable, elegant wine with soft tannins, delicious bright red fruit flavours and great length of flavour.

The 2016 growing season was very dry with warm conditions and the just on average temperatures meant relatively leisurely vine growth. Meticulous picking decisions were required in order to retain the vibrant fruit flavours and natural acidity for which Marlborough is famous for. Sourced from multiple vineyard sites throughout the Wairau Valley in Marlborough. Diversity of grape source and clonal material allowed us to make a complex and complete wine with great fruit character and depth of flavour. Grapes were cold soaked, fermented in small parcels and aged for nine months in French barriques. Drinking well now and up to 2021.

Food Pairing: Great as an aperitif or with chicken, salmon, game, red meat or pasta.
