Description
Light straw colour in the glass with a perfumed bouquet with nuances of lime, pear and citrus blossom underpinned by spice and nectarine characters. Palate is dry with intense ripe fruit flavours with a crisp, racy and refreshing long finish of mineral and slate.
This 2017 Riesling from Mount Riley is made from grapes grown on Mount Riley’s Litchfield and Anderson Vineyards in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley. A perfect growing season with warm summer temperatures gave the perfect conditions for excellent flavour development and the remarkable aromatics that this classic wine is known for. Grapes were harvested in pristine condition then crushed and destemmed. Fermentation was carried out at cool temperatures in stainless steel to achieve absolute purity of fruit. Drinking well now, but this wine will continue to improve and develop until 2022.
Food Pairing: Great as an aperitif or matched with seafood, light meats & spicy foods.

Beautiful off-dry riesling-highly recommended

This is a great off-dry Riesling at a brilliant quaffing price!

long dry mineral. What I want in a riesling
Darrell - 20/08/2018
Nice and crisp and dry. A little light in body but that may flesh out after a few more months in the bottle. Very pleasant wine.

really good riesling characteristics and its great to find a dry one (most are far too sweet - if the writeup says anything about a hint of residual sweetness avoid it!). It's crisp, slightly sharp and lovely to drink on a summer's day/evening. At $12.99 a bottle it is well priced.

Very nice Riesling, dry and nice bit of acid

Outstanding value for money — and that comes from a fan of Waipara rieslings

Good value

Ok drop but once freight is added on probably better value on special at supermarket.
