The palate is ripe and rounded, and offers pristine fruit flavours and fine texture, leading to a lingering silky finish. An elegant nose of pear and quince with warm spices. This Pinot Gris is medium bodied with flavours of apple and tangy citrus combined with a touch of cinnamon. Mouth filling and smooth with lively acids, minerals and a touch of spice towards the lengthy back palate.
The fruit was harvested at optimum ripeness and after pressing and cold settling, the juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures to enhance the purity of flavours. Texture was enhanced by regular stirring post fermentation.
Released ready to drink, this wine will be at its best over the next three or four years.
