Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly presented with mouthwatering stonefruit flavours entwined with hints of flint and minerals. The fruit forms a softly concentrated core that offers roundness and accessibility. The palate is balanced by refreshing and lively acidity, and the wine flows with drive and energy along a soft-textured line, leading to a dry, lingering finish of stonefruits and minerals. This is a classical Chablis with mouthwatering stonefruit, flint and mineral flavours on a softly concentrated palate with fresh acidity and a long, nuanced finish. The vinyard is situated in the northernmost region of Burgundy, located in a dramatic circle of hills where vines have been planted for hundreds of years, where the Kimmeridgian limestone contains millions of tiny marine fossils embedded in a kind of whitish mortar which may have been once the bottom of the sea. This marine origin gives the wines of Chablis their unique flavour. I the sixties, when the Chablis vineyards were all but abandoned, Robert Drouhin recognized the potential of this region which had been ravaged by the phylloxera disease a century before. He was one of the first Burgundy propriétaires who set about revitalizing the area.

The 2015 vintage is a faithful expression of the briny qualities associated with this appellation. The wines deliver superb aromas. They are rich, suppple and offer a long aftertaste.
