Kumeu Village Pinot Noir 2016
The 2016 vintage was tricky vintage for Pinot Noir and as such we made the decision to declassify the 2016 Kumeu River Hunting Hill Pinot Noir to the Village wine. This has obviously benefitted the Village wine with material of better quality and concentration. The wine has a lovely light and bright colour and the aromas show red fruits of strawberry and raspberry. The palate is very pretty and crisp with a refreshing dry finish. This wine is delicious to drink now and over the next 2-3 years.

Rapaura Marlborough Pinot Noir 2016
Our 2016 Estate Marlborough Pinot Noir displays lovely dark cherry and blackcurrent notes combined with attractive smoky and herbal influence. Bright berry fruits and savoury oak nuances lead to the creamy, rich palate and soft silky tannins. Careful cellaring will be rewarded over the next 3-5 years.
The 2016 growing season delivered lovely, ripe fruit showing excellent varietal intensity. Each parcel of fruit was vinified seperately and gently crushed into small and medium sized fermentation vessels. The fruit was then cold soaked and fermented using a selection of wild and traditional Pinot Noir yeasts. A portion of juice was matured in French Oak barriques for 9 months and underwent malolactic fermentation before being expertly blended and bottled.
Food Pairing: Poached salmon with herb butter or grilled steak with mushroom sauce
