Description

  • Ripe red berries
  • Fresh nectarine
  • Plum
  • Juicy & fruit driven

"Made from Pinot Noir grown on their home vineyard, this is a richer style showing lifted aromas of red apple, nectarine, raspberry and plum on the nose, leading to a succulent palate that is beautifully rounded and generously flavoured. The wine offers excellent fruit intensity, finishing long and juicy. At its best: now to 2019" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Aug 2017

Vibrant ruby in colour offering an aroma of delicate florals and finely balanced with strawberry, redcurrant and cherry. Palate is bursting with red berry flavours. This is a refreshing summer wine, finely balanced with a generous weight in the mouth and a lingering crisp, fruity finish.

The Pinot Noir grapes for this single vineyard rosé are from the vines in front of the winery and were cropped at low levels and the hand-picked. The saignee juice was used to capture a greater expression of the varietal. Drink now as best on release. We experienced a very dry spring and early/mid summer with drought conditions feared in December, tempered only by isolated but welcome rain events in January, March and early April. Very large potential crops in some areas required a lot of labour for canopy thinning and fruit removal. April sunshine hours were the highest recorded since 1958, missing out on the all time record by just 12 minutes. There was zero rainfall from start to finish of our harvest.

Food Pairing: A delightful summer wine. Wonderful on its own, paired with cheeses or with a fresh summer platter.
