Description
"Made from hand-harvested fruit grown on their Rapaura Vineyard, this is a delectable sauvignon filled with lush fruit flavours. The inviting bouquet shows grapefruit, passionfruit, mango and lime zest characters with a hint of musky complexity. The palate is powerful and concentrated, and delivers loads of tasty fruit flavours backed by refreshing acidity. At its best: now to 2020" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Sept 2017.
The bouquet from this vintage displays feijoa, green rockmelon, lime zest and subtle herbaceous characters. The palate delivers superb fruit intensity and vibrancy, beautifully supported by fine texture and bright acidity. Excellent concentration provides a lengthy and persistent finish in our distinctive Signature Sauvignon Blanc.
This Mystery wine comes from a family owned and operated boutique wine company producing from the Marlborough region of New Zealand. Founded in 2008, this family oversee the vineyard and wine-making process right through to the sales, marketing and administration ensuring every bottle is lovingly hand crafted. Their Signature range are deeply influenced by old world wine making techniques, lovingly handcrafted in small batch quantities, crafting these wines to reflect the 'Signature' attributes and characteristics of the vineyard from which they originate.
Fruit hand harvested from our Rapuara Vineyard, fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks after gentle pressing. We have used the best strains of yeast most suited to the distinctive aromatics of Marlborough Sauvignon. Lees aging prior to bottling has developed mid-palate weight adding to the wine’s intense fruit characters.
Food Pairing: best enjoyed with a wide range of dishes including shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, fish, chicken, asparagus, salads or feta.
