"Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is softly fresh and light with aromas of passionfruit and gooseberries along with florals and fresh herbs, unfolding some lifted fermentation esters and chalky mineral suggestions. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is moderately concentrated with bright and juicy flavours of passionfruit and gooseberries, entwined with fresh herbs. The fruit is up-front and gently mouthfilling and flows along a light, dry-textured line with good acid vitality. The palate leads to a sweet, clear finish of passionfruit, gooseberries and herbs. This is a softly fresh, bright and juicy Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and gooseberry flavours on a light, dry-textured line. Serve with salads and vegetables, and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Wairau Valley fruit, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc." Raymond Chan, Aug 2017
