1 x Escarpment Martinborough Pinot Noir 2016

Awarded 93/100 Points: Wine Spectator

Awarded 18.5/20 Points: Raymond Chan

"Intense, fragrant and expressive, with black cherry and dried plum notes that mingle with lavender, black tea and clove accents. A hint of dried porcino lingers on the finish. The tannins aren’t shy, providing a solid backbone for the flavours" Wine Spectator

Perfume, elegant fruit flavours, and soft ripe tannins are all hallmarks of this exceptional Pinot Noir. Perfect weather in Martinborough during flowering in December 2015 resulted in an ideal crop which did not require thinning.

1 x Quartz Reef Central Otago Pinot Noir 2016

awarded 95/100 points: Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Advocate

"Medium ruby-purple in color, the 2015 Pinot Noir exudes gorgeous violets, red roses and black cherry notes with underlying Provence herbs, dusty earth and cinnamon stick hints. Medium-bodied, the palate has a firm backbone of ripe, velvety tannins with lively acid supporting the concentrated, multi-layered flavors, finishing long. Spectacular Pinot Noir!” Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Advocate 14%

Divine ruby red in colour with intense cherry and berry aromas. Rich on the palate with dark cherry, subtle floral and herbaceous notes. Excellent depth, fine tannins and a long vibrant finish.

This wine is from our Organic, Biodynamic Certified Estate vineyard located in the Bendigo sub-region of Central Otago. The vineyard was planted in 1998 after careful site selection. The soils on the beautiful north facing slope are Waenga fine sandy loam and Letts steepland with an elevation of 217 – 264 metres, on 44.55° south.

1 x Rapaura Springs Reserve Marlborough Pinot Noir 2018

Dark cherry and blackcurrant fruits are complimented with complexing mushroom and black olive tapenade flavours. The palate is rich with combined dark and red berry fruits, including blueberries and cassis. The tannins are finely poised and silky and finishes with notes of dried herbs and cedar oak.

Fruit for the 2018 Reserve Pinot Noir comes from a selection of premium vineyard sites throughout Marlborough. Upon arrival the fruit is cold soaked for 3 5 days to extract the desired flavours, tannins and colour. Fermentation followed, in a selection of small open top tanks, using a selection of yeasts. The wine was plunged two to three times a day to extract colour and tannins from the skins. Select parcels were then allowed to macerate, further extracting colour and flavours after fermentation, for a further two to five days. After gently pressing the liquid off skins, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation to soften the palate and was then aged with a combination of French and Hungarian Oak.

1 x Craggy Range Te Muna Vineyard Martinborough Pinot Noir 2016

Dark cherry with a crimson hue. Dark aromatics with notes of ripe cherry, sage, dried bark and thyme emerging. Wonderful integration of ripe red fruits and velvety tannins across the palate. It has great density yet carries a very elegant feel as it flows towards the savoury dry finish.

1 x Greenhough Nelson Pinot Noir 2016

Awarded 4.5 stars: North & South Magazine, May 2017

"Sharply priced, this delicious wine was handpicked and matured for a year in French oak barrels (32 % new). Full, bright ruby, with fragrant, ripe bouquet, it is sweet fruited with generous plum, cherry, spice and nut flavours, showing excellent complexity and harmony.” North & South Magazine, May 2017

Attractively aromatic. Summer berry-‐fruits, citrusy, floral notes and a lightly spiced herbal fragrance. Earthy, mushroom notes evolve ast he wine opens up. The palate is brightly red-‐fruited with a light spicy savouriness and supple structure of well-‐bound tannins. Exotic guava and quince with secondary preserve-‐like notes. A refreshing plum skin tang and chalky, mineral edge balances riper flavours.

1 x Framingham Marlborough Pinot Noir 2016

Bright mid-garnet in the glass with a complex nose showing some attractive, savoury, smoked meat and spice notes. Cherry fruit, with herbs and a floral note. Rounded palate with cherry fruit, structured but approachable tannins and juicy acidity. Summer fruit compote, hints of smoky oak and some whole bunch derived spice complete the picture. New Zealand Pinot Noir is a bright, relatively new star in the World of Wine’s firmament.

Framingham 2016 Marlborough Pinot Noir is blended from 10 base wines made from low-cropped, reasonably well exposed grapes harvested from four different sites around Marlborough’s Wairau Valley, one being adjacent to our Estate vineyard, the others being in the Southern Wairau valley with more clay based soils.
