Awarded Silver Medal: New Zealand Organic Wine Awards, May 2019

"Fragrantly aromatic pinot noir with ripe cherry, plum, spice and subtle oak flavours. An elegant wine with appealing purity and suppleness. There is also a suggestion of floral character, perhaps red rose? Delicious now but no rush" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Mar 2019

"Very good colour and the wine is all-round bright, fresh, clean and lovely. The tannins are softer here than in the past, although it's till highly structured. Tannins are less blocky and the wine less extracted. Delicious Pinot; superb quality" Huon Hooke, Real Review, Jan 2019

"Certified biodynamic, the refined, youthful 2017 vintage was estate-grown at Bendigo, hand-picked and matured in French oak barriques (28% new). Deeply coloured, it is invitingly perfumed, with strong, ripe flavours, vibrant and supple, excellent complexity, and a long finely poised finish. Already drinking well, it should be at its best from 2021 onwards" Michael Cooper, May 2019

"Fresh, supple and rounded with sweet red cherry and raspberry fruit. Has nice polish and texture but also good structure and acidity. Ripe, expressive, elegant and grown up" Jamie Goode, Feb 2019

"This is a very good Pinot, deliverng a mix of powerful fruit and a focused structure. Violets and ripe red cherries sit amid gently stony, flinty nuances, leading to a palate that has a succulent, lithe and juicy core of vibrant cherries and chalky tannins. Great Pinot" James Suckling, Jamessuckling.com, Oct 2018

Divine ruby red in colourwith intense cherry and berry aromas. Rich on the palate with dark cherry, subtle floral and herbaceous notes. Excellent depth, fine tannins and a long vibrant finish.

1 x Rapaura Springs Reserve Marlborough Pinot Noir 2018

Dark cherry and blackcurrant fruits are complimented with complexing mushroom and black olive tapenade flavours. The palate is rich with combined dark and red berry fruits, including blueberries and cassis. The tannins are finely poised and silky and finishes with notes of dried herbs and cedar oak.

Fruit for the 2018 Reserve Pinot Noir comes from a selection of premium vineyard sites throughout Marlborough. Upon arrival the fruit is cold soaked for 3 5 days to extract the desired flavours, tannins and colour. Fermentation followed, in a selection of small open top tanks, using a selection of yeasts. The wine was plunged two to three times a day to extract colour and tannins from the skins. Select parcels were then allowed to macerate, further extracting colour and flavours after fermentation, for a further two to five days. After gently pressing the liquid off skins, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation to soften the palate and was then aged with a combination of French and Hungarian Oak.

1 x Craggy Range Te Muna Vineyard Martinborough Pinot Noir 2017

Awarded 98/100 POINTS: Roger Jones, Decanter

"Craggy Range Te Muna Road Pinot Noir, Martinborough, 2017 is a dream, I gave this a mark of 98 in a recent tasting of New World Single Vineyard Pinots for Decanter Magazine. The balance between savoury and luscious fruit with perfect acidity, gives a near perfect silky Pinot" Roger Jones, Decanter

Vibrant red cherry with a crimson hue. Complex aromatic array of dark rose, plum, cherry, tree bark and wooden spices. Supple palate entry with attractive varietal red fruits and lovely tension from the fine tannin profile. A joyful wine full of charm.

Full, bright ruby, with fragrant, ripe bouquet, it is sweet fruited with generous plum, cherry, spice and nut flavours, showing excellent complexity and harmony.” North & South Magazine, May 2017

The palate is brightly red-‐fruited with a light spicy savouriness and supple structure of well-‐bound tannins. Exotic guava and quince with secondary preserve-‐like notes. Beautiful mix of top New Zealand wineries and their Pinot Noir's. It's nice to try a variety from all around New Zealand. Each wine is unique in their own way - bit hard to comment when they are all different.

So far Ive only had the Framingham PN, Thorburn PN and Rapaura Reserve PN. The wine from Nelson was great and beyond expectations with great bouquet and length. The higher priced Te Muna Road Craggy, Larry McKenna Escarpment & Rudy Bauer PN from Bendigo are perhaps a bit young & have been put away for another 2-3 years
