"Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, near colourless on the rim. The nose is soft and solidly packed with well-concentrated and deep aromas of pungent passionfruit entwined with tropical fruits, fresh and dark herbs and fragrant floral elements. The aromatics are harmoniously integrated and grow in depth and breadth in the glass. Dry to taste and medium full-bodied, the palate is rich and fulsome with broad, mouthfilling flavours of pungent passionfruit, tropical fruits and dark herbs. The fruit has weight an presence on the palate, forming a rounded, deep heart, with fine, lacy acidity underlining the fruit. The wine flows smoothly to an aromatic, near ethereal finish. This is a rich and mouthfilling Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit, tropical fruit and herb flavours with plenty of presence and a smooth-flowing palate. Serve with Mediterranean and Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. Succulent passionfruit, guava and melon notes are underscored by delicate jalapeño and fresh herbal element. Layers of concentrated tropical fruit and stone fruit flavours are complemented by an attractive, flinty or mineral aspect on the full, rich palate. The 2018 growing season in Marlborough was not without some challenges, despite this, the fruit ripened nicely on the vines, earlier than normal, and we had clean, ripe and intensely flavoured fruit come harvest. Once harvesyted the fruit was gently pressed and the juice fermented at cool temperatures to capture the fruit flavours from the vineyards. Our Rapaura Spring Sauvignon Blanc has a broad range of fine fruit flavours from across the various Marlborough sub-regions. A quintessential Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, it's sure to impress.
