Highly aromatic, with delicate notes of white blossoms.

The terroir shines through on the palate with lovely length and a mineral, saline finish.

Perfect for hot weather drinking, this is summer in a glass! Pairs beautifully with light freshly grilled fish or goats’ cheeses.

Description

Superb, brilliant, pale pink color. Highly aromatic, with delicate notes of raspberry, peach, and white blossoms. The terroir shines through on the palate with lovely length and a mineral, saline finish.

The partly terraced vineyards lie on limestone-clay soil at an average altitude of 820 feet. The climate is cool for the region with considerable diurnal/nocturnal temperature differences which allows the wines to maintain perfect balance. The grapes are mostly harvested in the cool morning hours. After destemming, the Cinsault and Grenache grapes are pressed directly while the Syrah grapes are vinified in the saignée method. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at low temperature to preserve the wines’ aromatic freshness. The wines are aged for 3 months on fine lees and gently stirred.

Yummy - we tried this in a restaurant in Wellington and loved it. So pleased to find it on sale here. It was so good we had to open a second bottle. Drinking it immediately takes me to France and a lovely warm evening in the midst of a cold Wellington autumn.

Love, love, love this rose.

Grenache based with enough Cinsault and Syrah to take the acidic edge off, yet maintaining the typical freshness and character of your Cote du Provance type.
