Description
Light pink with a hint of orange in appearance. This wine has a bouquet of strawberry and cherries with floral notes. Whilst the palate shows strawberries and cream with a lovely dry finish.
The grapes for this wine were carefully selected from the Tietjen vineyard. The clone used here is Dijon 777 and the vines are carefully managed to produce a quality table wine. With only two canes laid down for the growing season, the lower yields ensured early ripeness with intense flavours.
After another good season, the Pinot Noir grapes in Gisborne exhibited wonderfully ripe flavours and intense colour. Not only did these grapes yield great table wine, but also a vibrant Summery Rose. The juice for the Ros was syphoned from the Pinot Noir cool soak prior to fermentation once the colour and flavour had reached the perfect intensity for this style.
Food Pairing:Fantastic shared with friends accompanied with either seafood or light chicken summer salads.
