Description
"Bright, fragrant and inviting, the bouquet shows dark cherry, blueberry, floral, toasted almond and spice characters, followed by a succulent palate that is rounded and elegantly fruited. It is delightfully expressed and highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2018." Sam Kim Wine Orbit
Hints of spicy aromas intermingle with ripe blackcurrants and undertones of fresh ground coffee. Elegant intensity and concentrated dark fruit flavours interlaced with toasted spice. This wine is well balanced with ripe tannins that compliment warm savoury notes and a clean lingering finish.
The grapes for this wine were harvested from a low cropping vineyard in the Wairau valley, where the elevation plus Marlborough’s warm days, cool nights make this site ideal for producing top quality Pinot Noir. Drinking beautifully from release date, this wine can be enjoyed young, or with careful cellaring will mature into a more complex wine that can be enjoyed for the next five years
It is well matched with spring Lamb.
