Description
Aromas of sweet black cherry and blueberry intermingled with smoked paprika and vanilla coffee. Elegant intensity and concentration with intense dark fruit flavours and floral notes. This wine is well balanced with ripe tannins and an impressive long complex finish.
The fruit was sourced from a number of specifically chosen low cropping vineyards in the Southern Valleys of Marlborough. Each vineyard was closely monitored and tasted to determine when the flavours were at their optimum and then harvested in the cool of the morning. This was then aged in a combination of stainless steel or French Oak.
Drinking well upon release, this wine will continue to mature and develop complexity for the next five years.
Perfect with smoked salmon, new potatoes and fresh summer greens.
