Grapes for this wine are from select vineyards in the Marlborough Valley. An alluring bouquet of fresh figs, peaches and a touch of spice. The creamy palate delivers apricots and white peach, with a touch of vanilla and a smooth balanced acidity.Medium bodied, it has a pleasant silkiness to the mouth feel and a persistent, lingering finish. Whalebone Chardonnay will continue to develop in bottle for a further 2-4 years from harvest.
Food Pairing: It is delicious on its own, or a wonderfully paired with mussel chowder, whole baked fish or creamy chicken casserole.
