Description

"A robust yet elegant and flavoursome blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier with citrus, delicate and savoury brioche, yeast autolysis characters supported by mouth-watering acidity. An attractive Champagne offering good value at this price" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Aug 2019

"Opulent and gratifying, this is a fabulous rendition of richer style Champagne displaying citrus, baked apple, acacia and yeasty characters on the nose. The palate is powerful and graceful, and delivers layers of attractive flavours and silky texture, brilliantly supported by crisp acidity. The length is terrific" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

"This fresh, lively grower Champagne is new to the New Zealand market and is affordable enough for a spur of the moment bottle at the end of a busy week. Lemony, bready aromatic, soft red fruits to taste and a crisp, fine, long finish. Excellent value" Paul Tudor, Master of Wine

Founded in 1869, and produced in Epernay by G.H. Martel & Co,  the largest family producer in Champagne. 4th generation winemakers, the Rapenau family own 8 individual Champagne Houses and together they are the 6th largest Champagne producer internationally . Drawing on such vast resources they are able to craft this excellent quality Champagne at an extremely competitive price.  65% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay 15% Pinot Meunier.

Tastes like champers & in fact is champers - totally brilliant value for under $40. This is the second 6-pack I've bought
