Description
"This is delightfully fragrant on the nose showing apricot, fresh pear, citrus and floral characters with a hint of spice undertones. The palate is juicy and elegant, and displays delicate fruit intensity and smooth texture, leading to a lengthy vibrant finish. A crowd-pleasing style with pristine fruit flavours. At its best: now to 2018." Sam Kim, Wine Orbit. April 2017.
A delicious Pinot Gris with lifted aromas of early ripening pear and warm spices. Beautifully rounded flavours of pear and quince with a silky texture leads to a lovely fresh crisp finish. Well matched with a Thai fish cakes or Roast pork with a stewed pear sauce. At its best over the next two to three years.
The Edwin Fox is a Historical East Indiaman style ship built in Bengal in 1853.
She is the 9th oldest ship afloat in the world today and the last surviving wooden immigrant ship to New Zealand. She now resides on the Picton foreshore at the gateway to the picturesque Marlborough Sounds.
