Fragrant aromas of ripe red plums leap from the glass with underlying floral notes and a hint of spice. A fruit driven wine with flavours of plums, blackberries and vanilla. The elegant structure is supported by well-balanced acidity and a long toasty finish.
Sourced from the Hawkes Bay region, the fruit was carefully monitored to ensure it was harvested at the peak of flavour development and ripeness.
The grapes were cold soaked for five days to maximise flavour and colour extraction. Following primary fermentation the wine was aged on light lees then blended, balanced and carefully prepared for bottling.
Drinking well now, this wine will continue to develop for another five years. A terrific match with barbecued steak, grilled salmon or pizza.
