Description
Convinced of the nobility of Malbec, this wine was born out of Francois Lurton’s desire to make a refined and elegant Argentine Malbec – very expressive and aromatic, it is very “Burgundian” in style. The first vintage was produced in 1999. The fruit is carefully selected from the best Malbec vineyards, in the hills arounding Mendoza. The grapes are 100% Malbec (50% Argentine Malbec, 50% French Malbec, ‘Cot’). This wine has become a benchmark of the Malbec aromatic expression. It owes its name to the black mountains of the Andean foothills.
On the attack, red fruits’ notes as plums and berries can be tasted. Then, they mix with coffee and vanilla notes coming from the wood. Voluminous, fruity with violet notes. Elegant tannins, the soft notes of the wood can be perceived and it has a persistent ending.
