Description

"Moderately dark ruby-red colour with purple hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is fresh and up-front with bright, ripe raspberry fruit aromas along with lifted whole berry confectionary and plum jam notes, revealing nuances of raspberry liqueur and toasty, charry oak. Medium-bodied, this has a soft, plush and juicy palate with moderately deep flavours of raspberries, confectionary and plum jam, unfolding toasty oak elements. The mouthfeel is soft and rounded, with modest tannin extraction, and integrated acidity providing some energy. The wine flows easily, leading to a light, dry finish. This is an up-front, juicy Pinot Noir with raspberry and plum jam flavours and a soft, accessible mouthfeel. Serve with risotto, pasta, pizza and poultry over the next 2-3 years. Pinot Noir fruit from Johnson Estate, hand-picked and indigenous yeast fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged in oak barrels" Raymond Chan, Feb 2016

"Delightfully fragrant and inviting, the bouquet shows dark cherry, plum, clove and floral characters with hints of game and mushroom notes. The palate is equally appealing, and shows lovely fruit intensity and silky texture, leading to a lingering smooth finish. A highly enjoyable pinot offering tasty fruit flavours with elegant savoury complexity. At its best: now to 2018" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, July 2016.

Cranberry, plum, dark chocolate and coffee notes. Generous palate weight with sweet red fruits, subtle spices and a long satisfying finish.

Alluvial based shallow and stony soils with overlying sandy loam. Clean ripe fruit was hand-picked and naturally fermented in open vats. After being aged in oak barrels the wine was blended and bottled. Cellering potential upto 3-4 years
