This wine is a classic expression of Hawkes Bay Sauvignon Blanc from a vintage that has produced excellent aromatic white wines. The nose has intense notes of Tahitian lime supported by elderflower and fennel. The palate is refreshingly elegant with more citrus fruit notes being balanced by a subtle mineral texture. As a wine from a top Hawkes Bay vintage, one would expect excellent focus and concentration on the palate, which then leads to a dry and pleasant finish.
Serve with grilled mussels or a seasonal goat’s cheese salad
Drinking well upon release this wine could be cellared with confidence for three to five years.
