"The palate delivers lovely fruit intensity and vibrancy"

The wine is classically expressed with plenty of tasty flavours and offers great value for money. At its best: now to 2018." Sam Kim Wine Orbit

The fruit for this wine comes from several immaculately tended vineyards in Marlborough’s Southern Valley. The nose is intense with lifted aromas of grapefruit,  citrus blossom and zesty limes.    The palate has more of the same with a mixture of stone fruit and integrated herbaceous characters. Flavours of gooseberry and citrus are also evident and assist to form a fruit packed, lengthy  finish. Vibrant and lively this wine is at its best now and is perfect for drinking on its own or with pan fried fish, BBQ prawns or spinach and lemon risotto.

On the 16th October 1848, an earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 7.5 shook the Marlborough region. Land moved as much as 8 metres horizontally along a major fault line of at least 105km in the Awatere Valley, 25km south of Blenheim.

We found the wine slightly lighter than some of the Sauvignon Blancs from the Marlborough region we have enjoyed but still found it to be pleasant drinking, excellent with white meat.

T
There is no fault line going through this wine. It's is a typical, well balanced Marlborough Sauvy with the usual fruit and mineral flavours. Excellent value.

Have been buying Faultline wine since 2011, always a regular amongst my 132 orders to date. It still is today #1 for me. Born in 1848 Awatere Valley 7.5 shock and since reborn in Kaikoura 2016 7.8. PAB.
