Description

"Big, rich, dense and yet accessible red with masses of dark fruits, chocolate and coffee plus a seasoning of spicy oak. A deliciously drinkable red, with a backbone of sweet, ripe tannins. Great value at this price. Ageing: now to 2025.  Food match: Cured venison, blackcurrant, gingerbread, hazelnut." Bob Campbell

"The attractive 2014 vintage is a blend of Merlot (50 per cent), Cabernet Franc (20 per cent), Malbec (15 per cent), Petit Verdot (10 per cent) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5 per cent), matured in seasoned French oak casks. Deeply coloured, it's a youthful, fruit-driven wine with fresh, generous red-berry, plum, herb and spice flavours, showing a touch of complexity, and smooth, ripe tannins. Best drinking mid-2017+." Michael Cooper

Deep garnet-purple in colour with lifted aromas of crushed red berries and darker cassis with hints of floral perfume, clove, Mediterranean herbs and cedar. The palate is vibrant with good concentration and supple approachable tannins.  The 2014 Man O’ War Bordeaux exudes ripe red berry fruits, a hint of spice and a long persistent finish that is
engaging in its youth but will reward careful cellaring for 3-5 years acidity.

This wine is bottled and protected under screw cap as we believe it is the best closure for quality wine.
