Black cherry and plum, toffee, spicy oak and hints of the forest floor. Red fruit and spice on the palate with fine, silky tannin and balanced acidity.
2 x Kumeu Village Pinot Noir 2016
The 2016 vintage was tricky vintage for Pinot Noir and as such we made the decision to declassify the 2016 Kumeu River Hunting Hill Pinot Noir to the Village wine. This has obviously benefitted the Village wine with material of better quality and concentration. The wine has a lovely light and bright colour and the aromas show red fruits of strawberry and raspberry. The palate is very pretty and crisp with a refreshing dry finish. This wine is delicious to drink now and over the next 2-3 years.
2 x Rapaura Springs Marlborough Pinot Noir 2014
Our 2014 Pinot Noir has pure and complex aromas of dark cherry with a hint of violet, blackcurrant and clove. The palate is rich and complex, with juicy ripe cherries, succulent black Doris plum and a lovely flinty or mineral streak that adds to the charm. A smoky oak influence is finely balanced with ripe tannins and a silky, elegant finish. Our 2014 Pinot Noir will reward careful cellaring over the next 3-5 years. 13% alc.
