AWARDED 96/100 POINTS, Cameron Douglas Master Sommelier 2016

“Intensely floral bouquet with lemon and apple blossom flanked by aromas of silty mineral and honeysuckle. On the palate – dry, firm, fresh and flavourful – mineral laden with citrus and crisp apple flavours, grapefruit and ‘hard to peel’ mandarin, a touch of pith, vibrant texture and long finish. A complex wine with a long finish, an expertly crafted example.”

"The 2013 Riesling has classic aromas of lime leaves, lemongrass, grapefruit and honeyed white peach. Light-bodied and dry, it has an electric citrus laced backbone and lovely, lively finish." Lisa Perrotti-Brown, eRobertParker.com May 2016

A single vineyard Riesling from our own Te Muna Road site.

Grown on the alluvial gravel terrace soils of the Martinborough Terrace during a perfect growing season for the district.

A warm dry summer allowed fruit to ripen wonderfully, producing powerful opulent fruit with the floral, lime zest Riesling is renowned for. A dry style (4g/l residual sugar) has been created, ideally to be enjoyed as an aperitif for something to liven up the taste buds.

It is an accurate reflection of Martinborough’s unique terroir. Cellar for up to five years or more, successfully.

Good wine

Stu - 02/06/2017

At last a true dry riesling with no "residual sugar" (which seems to be winespeak for sickly sweet). I love its good true varietal flavours and it's great to have as an aperitif or with food.

P
Beautifully integrated with a persistent refreshing lime taste - no spiky acid, no sugar intruding.
