Description
Classically Hawkes Bay in style this Chardonnay reveals a fragrant nose of grilled peach and nectarine stone fruit, with complexing cashew characters from subtle French oak. A silken textured mouth feel unfolds with layers of fruit and delicate oak spice, subtle mealy flavours and wonderful acidity.
A classic match with most white meats, rich seafood dishes, cheese and salads. Also highly enjoyable on its own.
The 2015 Hawkes Bay vintage came through with good sunshine hours and above average growing degree days. Intermittent rainfall throughout the season provided challenges however well drained sites achieved optimum flavour development. Clones 95, cl15 and cl548 feature from several vineyard sites.
