"Seductive and complex, the fragrant bouquet shows red berry, game, truffle and roasted almond characters. It is elegant and refined on the palate, and displays lovely mid palate weight and silky texture, beautifully framed by fine tannins. The wine is seamless and flows effortlessly to a lingering finish with a delightful Burgundy-like sensual feel. At its best: now to 2018." Sam Kim Wine Orbit, May 2015
Black cherry with spice and mocha notes on the nose. A flowing elegant wine showing texture, depth and persistence.
The grapes were cold soaked for 7-10 days (30% whole bunch), fermented for 7-10 days, followed by 7-10 days of post maceration on skins. 100% went through malolactic fermentation. The wine was then aged in French Oak barrels for about ten months, with 25% new oak.
High density vineyard plantings (4040 vines/ha). Vines are cropped low at 1.5 kilograms/ wine. Grapes are hand selected, hand harvested and hand sorted.
Bottles 09 March 2012. 24 brix (average). pH 3.64. Clones 5,6,115,10/5,667,777 and Abel Clone.

Great nose, great taste. A lovely central Pinot.
Rob - 02/10/2016
OK but for me not much character, a bit light & smooth, maybe not a bad things for others, depends what you like.
Rob - 27/10/2016
Hmm, don't know how this was supposed to retail for $38. Price point at $19 more like it. Is quite light and has a very real tang about it which is a bit weird. Almost feels like it wants to be a Rose' when it grows up.
Royden - 06/10/2016
Pleasant light Pinot
