Description
"Smooth-textured pinot gris in a medium-dry style, with the flavours of stewed apples and cream plus a hint of clove and spice. An attractive wine offering excellent value at this price" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Sept 2106
"The 2016 vintage (****) offers fine value. Grown in 'the high country of Hawke's Bay', it was fermented and lees-stirred in tanks. Freshly aromatic, it is a medium-bodied, clearly varietal wine with vibrant peach, pear and spice flavours, strong, off-dry (8 grams/litre residual sugar) and finely balanced for early enjoyment." Michael Cooper, MA ONZM
"The wine shows lovely youthful fruit notes of fresh pear, stone fruit and lemon peel with a subtle floral lift on the nose. The palate is juicy and smooth, and offers silky mouthfeel and appealing fruit flavours, leading to a delightfully crisp finish. Pristine and vibrant, the wine is very approachable and likable" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"The nose is fresh, tightly bound and elegantly presented with aromas of white stonefruits along with a gentle amalgam of honeysuckle and herbs, unfolding minerally lees elements in the glass. The mouthfeel is youthfully fresh with lacy acidity providing energy, and carrying to a moderately rich finish of honeysuckle and hints of exotic florals. This is an elegantly rich and bright, off-dry Pinot Gris with white stonefruits and florals, and good freshness" Raymond Chan
