Description

Golden colour. Expressive nose, mature, with classic notes of ripe cherry and raspberry. Powerful palate, contained by freshness, with clean, persistent aromas. A lovely, harmonious earthy champagne that will delight.

"Impressive vintage champagne with good strong, nutty yeast autolysis, wild flowers, citrus and a core of chalky mineral character. Fine-grained, linear wine that's good drinking now but promises to age well". Bob Campbell

"Grapes were grown on Grand Cru vineyards in the Bouzy and Tours sur Marne districts. A gorgeous Champagne, the complex bouquet shows brioche, citrus and apple characters with nuances of floral and almond. The palate is powerfully expressed and generously textured, offering superb mid palate weight backed by bright acidity, leading to a superbly long, fine finish." Sam Kim Wine Orbit

"Full straw-yellow colour with light golden hues, a little lighter on the rim, with a very persistent and fine bead.  The nose is fine, but firmly concentrated with intense yellow stonefruit aromas showing Pinot Noir prominence.  The fruit is harmoniously melded with a complexing, savoury bready-yeasty layer, and subtle aldehyde nuances, and builds in depth, becoming rounder in the glass.  Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the yellow stonefruit flavours are rich and vibrant, and gently fill the mouth, while growing in depth and intensity.  Layers of complex, savoury, bread and yeast unfold adding interest.  The mouthfeel is very well-balanced with a soft mousse and lacy acidity lending energy, and a light phenolic structure.  The wine leads to a long, lingering, elegant finish with yeasty notes.  This is a well-balanced Champagne with rich and vibrant fruit and layers of complexing savoury yeast flavours.  Serve as an aperitif, and with white meats and seafood over the next 3+ years." Raymond Chan
