"A cymbal crash of citrusy minerality" Cuisine Magazine

Always great paired with celebration as an apertif, but also a great food wine when matched with food such as an endive, Stilton & salted walnut salad.

Description

100% Chardonnay.  Brilliant light yellow colour with subtle green glints. A persistent stream of fine, active bubbles.Complex, intense and qualitative nose with apricot, grilled almond, spice and butter notes, as well as a mineral quality. Discreet effervescence in the mouth with creamy bubbles preceding a full bodied, balanced and long-last ensemble.  Fruity (peach, pear) and spicy notes to create a flavoursome and harmonious overall experience. This gorgeous, fresh and lively champagne is impressive.

"Made by a small family-owned producer based in the tiny Champenois town of Gye-sur-Seine, this is an attractice 100 per cent Chardonnay expression from a strong vintage. "Gorgeous aromas of cream custard" enthused john Belsham. In the mouth it opens with a cymbal crash of citrusy minerality. round and softly textured, it flows to a lengthy finish" Cuisine Magazine, Champagne tasting 2017, Oct 2017

"This is beautifully composed and expressed, displaying fragrant aromas of ripe citrus, nectarine and brioche on the nose, followed by a concentrated and focused palate that delivers silky texture and rounded mouthfeel, wonderfully structured by crisp acidity. A wonderful rendition of Champagne made exclusively from chardonnay offering lovely flow and harmony. At its best: now to 2020." Sam Kim Wine Orbit

"Full, even, light golden-yellow colour with green-gold hues, lighter on the rim.  The bubbles are very persistent, abundant and fine.  This has a very fresh and bright, tightly bound nose which unfolds ethereal white florals and white stonefruits, melded with fine and firm bready autolysis.  Delicate floral detail unfolds to add complexity.  The aromatics possess clarity, depth and penetration.  Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the flavours of white stonefruits, florals and citrus nuances are elegant and well-bound, and have real intensity and penetration.  The fruit is harmoniously balanced by precise bready autolysis.  The mouthfeel is brisk from crisp acidity and shows some creaminess from the mousse.  The wine flows along a tight dry, phenolic linw leading to a light, sustained, nuanced finish.  This is a tightly bound, slender, but penetrating Blanc de Blanc Champagne with a brisk, mouthwatering palate.  Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 3-4 years."
