Description

"When it comes to quality-to-price ratios, no one does it better than proprietor Jean Marc Lafage" Robert Parker's - The Wine Advocate

"A gorgeous syrah and grenache blend, the lifted nose shows dark berry, raspberry, floral and smoked meat characters. It is generous and flavoursome on the palate, and delivers loads of tasty flavours, finishing long and succulent. The wine offers delectable fruit flavours with a warm spicy finish. At its best: now to 2017." Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

"When it comes to quality-to-price ratios, no one does it better than proprietor Jean Marc Lafage. Located just outside of Perpignan, this estate has a wealth of old vines and vineyards to pull from, and the addition of a massive new winery is only going to give them even more control. While it’s easy to write off these value-priced releases as fruit bombs, please taste the wines! They have beautiful purity of fruit, impeccable balance and each release has their own unique character. At the prices, these are no-brainers." Robert Parker's - The Wine Advocate

This wine should come with a danger warning, it's very yummy and super well priced so is easy to justify opening bottle number two, all too often!

Olivia - 29/06/2017

My favourite red from France.

Lyndsay - 07/04/2017

One of the best that we have purchased. Stunning with a steak

Reasonable nose. A bit sharp at first taste. I rate this as a very drinkable wine with a very decent finish.

Have not enjoyed this wine as much as previous Lafage I have purchased.

R
Don't think it really compares with some Australian and NZ red's.

Ray - 29/12/2016

Full bodied & well balanced

First sip straight from the bottle was a little disappointing. However it improved markedly with a couple of hours breathing.

Barry - 08/10/2016

I've stashed it away and expect to add a star or 2 in 2018
