Description

"86pts... A generously expressed Rosé, the fragrant bouquet shows stone fruit, citrus and red cherry characters with a hint of floral lift. The palate offers vibrant fruit flavours and juicy acidity, and finishes long and crisp. A food-friendly style offering fruit richness and a nicely weighted body. At its best: now to 2017." Sam Kim Wine Orbit

"Bright, near lurid crimson-pink colour with good depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is fresh, bright and bold with aromatic cherry, strawberry and raspberry fruit aromas along with a confectionary lift. The nose has a firm steeliness and intensity that grows in the glass. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the fruit flavours are bright, aromatic and up-front with flavours of spiced cherries and raspberry confectionary. This has good ripeness and lusciousness, lending a sweet core. Lively acidity enhances the richness and the flavours are balanced by a light phenolic, textural line. The textures and acidity carry the wine to a long, lingering, thirst-quenching finish with aromatic fruit lift. This is a bold, up-front, raspberry and spicy cherry flavoured rosé with a refreshing palate. Match with antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. 100% Syrah from the Gimblett Gravels, fermented in tank to 12.5% alc. and 3.3 g/L RS." Raymond Chan, Nov 2015

Tasty rose with plenty of body I will order more of this.

Megan - 12/12/2016

This is lighter than I prefer in a rose, but not too sweet and none of the sharp aftertaste you sometimes get with a lighter wine.
