Pale gold in the glass with aromas of honey suckle, ripe pear and stone fruit. Offering delightful spicy pear and floral flavours that fill the palate with perfectly balanced acidity.
Dusky Sounds embodies this winery's enchanted land; clean and vibrant; with unique flavour that is loved around the world. Evolving in isolation over 80 million years ago, New Zealand has its own special natural environment, its native flora and fauna are truly unique in this world. New Zealand's isolated soils, pure waters and cool maritime winds add the finishing touches to produce Dusky Sounds premium wines. Dusky Sounds epitomises New Zealand's unique personality. Strong varietal characters and lifted, pungent aromatics along with clean and inviting flavours result in a range of great value wines.
Grapes for this vintage were lightly pressed before a warm fermentation was started with selected yeast strains. Post ferment wine was left on the lees for up to three months to enhance structure and mouth feel.
