Description

  • White flowers
  • Peach & vanilla
  • Brioche & honey
  • Livey & fresh

"An expressive nose delivering aromas of fruit and brioche with peach, white flower and vanilla bean.  The entry onto the palate is lively, fresh and in total harmony.  This is a delicate wine with flavours of fresh fruit and honey" Gourmet Traveller Wine, Dec/Jan 2016

"The elegant, restrained Taittinger non-vintage is a great all-rounder that combines appley fruit, bakery aromas and nutty complexity in a smooth, creamy wine of lovely drinkability.  Bracing acidity keeps it light and appetising, and it has a satisfying, long finish." Cuisine, Champagne Tasting, Nov 2014

"Taittinger always prepares its Brut Reserve blend first, and only if the vintage is deemed of sufficient quality are its other cuvees assembled. Accurate precision of lemon zest and stone fruits are supported by the gentle complexity of toast, roast nuts and honey. A generous expression of Taittinger, balanced by the bright, lively mood of 2008 [70% 2008 vintage]. A refreshing aperitif of crisp freshness and lingering persistence" Tyson Stelzer, The Champagne Guide 2014-2015

"Rich and toasty with lemon curd aromas, this shows elegant balance and great poise.  ‘The creamy texture makes this a great food fizz,’ said team leader Annette Scarfe MW. ‘From oysters and scallops to roast turkey" Sommelier Wine Awards 2014

"One of the most consistent of NV Champagnes, the flamboyant Taittinger Brut Reserve has pristine apple and citrus-accented fruit interwoven perfectly with toasty yeast and Marmitey complexity.  Harmony is the key and an integrated dab of sweetness rounds of the equation.  John Belsham described it as burlesque, raunchy and super-sexy" Cuisine, Champagne Tasting, November 2012

The brilliant body is golden yellow in colour. The bubbles are fine, while the foam is discreet yet lingering. The nose, very open and expressive, delivers aromas of fruit and brioche. It also gives off the fragrance of peach, white flowers (hawthorn, acacia) and vanilla pod. The entry onto the palate is lively, fresh and in total harmony. This is a delicate wine with flavours of fresh fruit and honey.

Taittinger Brut Réserve, which acquires its maturity during three and four years ageing in the cellar, offers excellent aromatic potential.

Taittinger Brut Réserve is the champagne for any occasion. A symbol of festivity, this wine is the ideal partner of celebration for the happiest milestones in a lifetime.

Taittinger Brut Réserve is blend of Chardonnay (40%) and Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier (60%) wines from over 35 different vineyards and vintages matured to perfection.

This high proportion of Chardonnay, unique among fi ne non-vintage champagnes, and a minimum ageing of three years in the cellars, where it reaches the peak of aromatic maturity, make Taittinger Brut Réserve a delicately balanced champagne, known for its consistently excellent quality the world over. Taittinger considers it an honour to produce a Brut champagne every year without exception.
