"Bright straw-yellow colour with green-gold hues, lighter on rim.  The nose is fresh, youthful and up-front, revealing well-packed aromas with a tight core of yellow and green stonefruits entwined with tropical fruit elements and subtly lifted oak.  Medium-bodied, the palate features fresh and bright, tightly bound flavours of citrus and yellow stonefruits that open with good mouthfilling sweetness and richness, unfolding some oak interest.  This has good linearity and fresh, balanced acidity, the wine following a light, grainy-textured line, leading to an elegantly concentrated, lingering finish of citrus and tropical fruit notes.  This is a fresh, bright, sweet-fruited, citrussy Chardonnay with a fine, textured mouthfeel.  Serve with seafood and poultry, and Pacific Rim fare over the next 3 years.  Clone 15 fruit from the ‘Judd Estate’ vineyard in Patutahi, tank-fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine given 5 months oak contact in tank, undergoing batonnage and 100% MLF". Raymond Chan
