Description

"The utter restraint of Billecart places delicate rosés very close to its heart... Antoine Billecart delights in recalling a tasting in which he poured the wine in black glasses for sommeliers. No one identified it as a rosé... A restrained and elegantly pretty rosé of pale salmon hue and very subtle strawberry hull and white cherry fruit. Delightfully understated and elegantly persistant, it carries its grace and poise amidst a taut profile of refined acidity and soft mineral presence. This cuvée is at its best in its youth" Tyson Stelzer, The Champagne Guide, 2017

"Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé was, as usual, beautifully balanced and delicate – a top example of the style" Tyson Stelzer, Australia’s leading writer on champagne, Taste Champagne 2017

"Finely meshed and elegant, with mouth-watering acidity and satiny texture carrying the delicate flavours of ripe raspberry, lemon shortbread, chalk and fresh ginger. Offers a clean, minerally finish" Wine Spectator

"This superb Champagne has become my go-to rosé Champagne because it is so consistent and good" Robert Parker

"Surely the most consistent rosé on the market, with a very strong and loyal following to prove the point... This release is definitely on-song, with an abundance of fragrant red berry fruits and spice on the bouquet and palate alike; then follows a long, penetrating, yet fine, finish and aftertaste. One of those Champagnes you can drink anywhere, any time" James Halliday, The Wine Companion, Top 100 Wines of 2011

"Such an elegant, ethereal wine, this orange-pink wine is dry and crisp with fruity raspberry flavor at the fore. This particular bottling could improve for a year, but makes a great food Champagne now." Wine Enthusiast, Jan 2013

"Vibrantly effervescent with delicate hints of rosehips, strawberry, citrus and tropical fruit supported by beautifully balanced savoury, spicy, mealy notes and a long, creamy finish" New Zealand International Wine Show, 2013

"This is clearly one of my favorite rose Champagnes out there.  I love the freshness and clarity in the wine, from its light pink color to crisp acidity and minerally, chalky character on the finish.  Its full-bodied and dense yet agile with amazing length and beauty.  Refreshing and vibrant. As it warms, it gives you delicate pinot noir character like Aloxe-Corton oranother excellent appelation. Drink Now." James Suckling, Jamessuckling.com

The production secrets and the vinification method of this cuvée go back to the origins of the House of BILLECART-SALMON and have been handed down for seven generations. The Brut Rosé is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir vinified as red wine.

Its pale and bright pink colour is adorned with warm glints of gold and its delicate slowly rising bubbles give it a persistent mousse. This cuvée unveils a subtle
aroma leading to an elegant, delicate bouquet of fine notes of red fruits and zest of citrus fruits. Its special method of vinification gives this cuvée a light, elegant flavour, followed by a fresh finish with a taste of raspberry.

Food Pairing: This rosé champagne is an ideal partner as an aperitif and can also accompany a dish of wild salmon or sushi. For dessert, it will add a sublime touch to red fruit flavours.
