Description

"A beautifully expressed medium-sweet riesling, the elegantly perfumed bouquet shows ripe citrus, mango, floral and a touch of marmalade notes. The palate is vibrant and succulent with excellent focus, beautifully framed by elegant sweetness and bright acidity. Lovely balance between fruit richness, sweetness and acidity, and the wine is quite delicious" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

"Bright, light straw-yellow colour with lemon-green hues.  The nose is light and elegantly proportioned with delicately entwined aromas of white florals, honeysuckle, limes and savoury herbs.  A talc-like nuance suggests some botrytis.  Medium-sweet to taste, medium light-bodied and tightly bound, flavours of florals, honey, talc and herbs are underlined by a grainy phenolic, textured line.  The mouthfeel shows some grip which combines with the alcohol to provide a firm mouthfeel.  The sweetness is countered by some bitterness and background acidity lends balance, the wine carrying through to dryish, honied finish.  This is an elegant Late Harvest Riesling with delicate honied flavours and a grainy texture" Raymond Chan Wine Reviews

Spätlese meaning ‘late harvest’ in German, these grapes were picked one to two weeks after the main harvest giving us a lifted mouth-watering sweetness. The finished wine is delightful with aromas of honeydew melon and nectarines with fresh honeycomb. The palate is rich and coats your mouth in sweet goodness of apples, pears and honeysuckle. Its subtle intensity and delicate finish lingers long on the palate.
