Mystery Marlborough Pinot Noir 2019 (04)
Description
- French oak
- Blueberry
- Red liquorice
- Full-bodied
Garnet red core. Aromatic ripe fruit with savoury notes and a hint of coffee. Full bodied with red fruits and blueberry and a finely structured mid palate showing complex toasty and red liquorice flavours with a long savouy finish. Drinking beautifully now and will continue to reward for at least three years from vintage date, when it will become rounder on the palate and develop further complexity.
Fruit was carefully selected from two different vineyards in the Omaka Valley. Each parcel was chosen to add complexity and fullness as well as impart balance and offer particular characteristics to the final wine.
The fermentation took place in new and seasoned French oak barrels. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation. After 11 months barrel aging the wine was blended and carefully prepared for bottling.
Food Pairing: A wonderful accompaniment for salmon or chicken dishes.
