Description

  • Oaked
  • Dark plum & cranberry
  • Toasted nut & five spice
  • Supple & silky

"Offering sweet fruit notes with spicy/savoury undertones, showing dark plum, clove, olive and toasted nut aromas on the nose. The medium-full-bodied palate is supple and silky with lovely harmony and complexity, finishing lingering and pleasingly dry. At its best: now to 2025" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Mar 2021

Deep red with hints of purple and blue. Fruit, blueberry and cranberry. Complexity, Chinese five spice and a roasted meat nuance. All of the aromatic notes come through strongly on the palate and along with the colour, taste and feel elements the sensory picture is complete. Acidity, bright. Sweetness, dry. Saltiness, some. Bitterness, nil. Umami, very savoury. Finely structured fruit and oak tannins. Fresh, mid-weight and long lasting.

I was totally surprised at how nice this wine was. Good all round flavours with a very nice back palate.

Fruity and very drinkable.

Better than many I’ve tried. Excellent example & great value.

This is an interesting Syrah with a definite red berry palate. Goes better with food than on it's own.
