"Exquisitely fine and enticing, the restrained bouquet shows crunchy apple, strawberry, fig and subtle spice notes, followed by a finely textured palate delivering bright fruit flavours together with excellent focus and persistency. At its best: now to 2023" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit. Oct 2021
Brillant pink with clear violet shades. Red fruits with a touch of red currant and spices. A very round and well-balanced wine.
Food Pairing: Excellent with grilled meat, salads and fresh cheeses.
Seal: Glass closure - Alc: 12.5%
2 x Grand Veneur 'Bellissime' Rosé 2020 (France)
Awarded 91/100 Points: Jeb Dunnuck
"I loved the Bellissimé Rosé from the Jaume family, which strikes a good balance between a lighter, Provençal rosé and the richer styled Tavel rosé. Revealing a more medium ruby, almost salmon hue with a great nose of salted melon, light strawberries, and white flowers, it has subtle hint of minerality, medium-bodied richness, a great texture, and a clean, crisp finish. It’s another beautiful effort from this team that can stand on its own yet also shine on the dinner table. Drink it over the coming summer months" Jeb Dunnuck
Grand Veneur's Rosé is a saignee from their Côtes du Rhône red, made from 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 20% Cinsault and it's fantastic! Strawberry-scented slurpable Rosé.
Food Pairing: This Organic Rosé is perfect for the boat, bach and BBQ.
Seal: Cork
2 x Domaine Lafage Côté Rosé 2020 (France)
Awarded 93/100 Points & 5 Stars: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Nov 2021
"Elegant and instantly appealing with apricot, red apple, subtle spice and floral aromas with a hint of raspberry, it's juicy and lively on the palate offering terrific focus and flow. Brilliantly structured by crisp acidity, making it mouth-watering and fabulously appealing. At its best: now to 2023" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Nov 2021
"I’ve raved time and time again about the quality - and value - coming from Domaine Lafage’s Jean-Marc Lafage. When it comes to quality-to-price ratios, no one does it better than proprietor Jean Marc Lafage. Located just outside of Perpignan, this estate has a wealth of old vines and vineyards to pull from, and the addition of a massive new winery is only going to give them even more control. While it’s easy to write off these value-priced releases as fruit bombs, please taste the wines! They have beautiful purity of fruit, impeccable balance and each release has their own unique character. At the prices, these are no-brainers" Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
Over the last 5 vintages the Domaine Lafage Côté Rosé has been a firm Black-Market.co.nz member favourite. The 2020 is another beauty and will not disappoint. This deliciously dry and berry-fresh Provence style pink ticks all the boxes for the long summer ahead.
