"Supremely seductive Pinot Noir from a lofty, sloping Bendigo vineyard. Prophet’s Rock ranked 21st in our Top Wineries of New Zealand 2022. A deep, dark pinot noir with cassis, dark cherry and berry, red-fleshed plum, liquorice, smoky oak and mixed spice/anise flavours. Prophet’s Rock’s signature low extraction winemaking has produced an accessible wine supported by ripe tannins that suggest good ageing potential. Terrific wine!" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Jul 2022

Showcasing black and red berry fruits, with a hint of French Oak, dark chocolate and exotic thyme and dried herbs. Juicy, full-bodied and rich, with striking energy and power, whilst retaining silky smooth tannins. Long and lavish in the mouth with a savoury note into the finish.

Sourced from the winemakers ‘Home Vineyard’ on a steep, elevated terrace in the Bendigo sub-region. Here, altitude, climate, fascinating soils and meticulous viticulture combine to produce Pinot Noir with stature and concentration. Pinot Noir is the largest part of their production and a complete no-compromise obsession.

The foundation of this wine is the focus on delivering low-yielding concentrated fruit that expresses their vineyard. In the winery, the winemakers employ traditional old world techniques; the grapes are handled gently and the wines are fermented using only the indigenous yeast from the vineyard.

The wines are aged in barrel for 15-18 months before being bottled unfiltered, and are cellared before release.
