Craggy Range Hawke's Bay Rosé 2021
Craggy Range Hawke's Bay Rosé 2021
Description
- Dry style
- Wild raspberry
- Fresh cherry
- Savoury thread
Brilliant rose petal in colour. Lifted fresh cherry and wild raspberry. The palate has a succulence that flows the whole palate through. Ripe red fruit envelops the flavour profile; however, a savoury thread ensures that this complements many a first course. Delicious.
A blend of 44% Syrah, 36% Tempranillo and 20% Merlot varietals grown in the Gimblett Gravels area of Hawke's Bay.
2021 was a fantastic vintage with a warm early spring with occasional large rainfall followed by a long dry summer.
56% of the grapes were destemmed before pressing with the remaining 44% whole bunched pressed. Wine was fermented in open top stainless steel tanks, matured for 3 months before fining, filtering and then bottling.
