Description

  • Blueberry
  • Dark cherryy
  • Rounded texture
  • Soft tannins

"It's instantly appealing on the nose with lifted aromas of dark cherry, toasted nut, clove and floral. The delectably expressed palate offers juicy fruit intensity with fleshy texture and silky tannins, making it delightfully appealing and drinkable. At its best: now to 2025" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Aug 2021

"From 40-year-old grenache vines in southern Spain. Ripe, juicy, fruit-focused red with ripe plum, dark berry, liquorice and mocha flavours. A deliciously drinkable red—a real crowd-pleaser offering great value at this price" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Sep 2021

"Since its arrival several years ago Rojo has grown to top the sales charts of sub-$15 Spanish reds. It’s no wonder; this 100% Garnacha (Spain’s name for grenache) comes from vines that average 30 years of age" Joelle Thomson

A rich, juicy, full-bodied, opulently-fruity blockbuster with soft tannins for easy drinking and ‘glugability’.

Hand harvested from 40 year-old Garnacha (Grenache) bush vines vines in southern Spain and made in a modern, clean, opulent style. The growing area of the grapes used for the elaboration of this wine is situated in Castilla-La Mancha from vines with an age from 10 to 25 years old, cultivated at about 500-700 meters above sea level.

Bodega Navarro López was originally founded at the start of the 20th Century by Don Juan Sánchez. The company is still in family hands and they understand that success in a good wine starts with the choice of the best parcels of vineyard. From fifth generation family estate Navarro Lopez, Rojo is genuinely one of the world’s great wine values. Previou vintages described by Sam Kim of Wine Orbit as "one of the most reliable, great value wines from Spain. So easy to enjoy"

Food Pairing: Delicious on its own or pair well with red meats & cheeses.
