Description

Winter is here! Bring on chilly night snuggled around the fireplace with your closest friends and a glass of one of these fantastic Winter Warmers.

From here in New Zealand to slightly further Australia and all the way to Europe, pair each varietal with a different type of roast meat this winter.

Collection includes:

1 x Kumeu Village Pinot Noir 2020

The wine displays a bright cherry red /burgundy colour with lifted red fruit aromas. On the palate the wine is cool, round and fruity and with a nice hint of chalky tannin that keeps the wine dry and refreshing.

Alc: 13% - Seal: Screw cap

1 x Wild Rock Hawke's Bay Red 2015

Darkest red with purple hues. Ripe aromas of red and black berries, violets, rosemary and oak dust. A richness of fruit is beautifully integrated with oak and fine dusty tannins creating a long and delicious finish.

Alc: 13.70% - Seal: Screw cap

1 x Coriole Redstone McLaren Vale Shiraz 2020 (Australia)

This is a classic McLaren Vale shiraz. A savoury nose of olive leaf, raspberry and blackberry bramble follows through to a soft and vibrant palate offering up plum, dark cherry and soft oak, with a violet lift. The Redstone is a fruit driven shiraz made to enjoy in its youth, though will cellar well. Tannins are soft and approachable with great fruit length.

Food Pairing: Greek cuisine pairs beautifully with this wine... try a slow roasted lamb shoulder generously studded with rosemary, garlic and lemon. Serve it with torn pita, chargrilled vegetables and lashings of garlic sauce.

Alc: 14.60% - Seal: Screw cap

1 x La Vieille Ferme Cote du Ventoux Rouge 2019 (France)

AWARDED 4.5 STARS: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

AWARDED SILVER MEDAL: NZ International Wine Show 2020

Pretty deep red colour. The fresh nose is on ripe red fruit with hints of cherries. Well balanced with soft tannins, it is a full and fresh wine with a nice length.

Alc: 13.50% - Seal: Cork

1 x Rocca delle Macie Confini Chianti DOCG 2019 (Italy)

Lively ruby red in colour with violet reflections. Fruity with aromas of ripe red fruit. Fresh & well balanced on the palate.

Food Pairing: A wine to match every course, it is particularly suited for white meats and pasta.

Alc: 12.50% - Seal: Screw cap

1 x Bodegas Borsao Garnacha 2019 (Spain)

AWARDED GOLD MEDAL: NZ International Wine Show 2019

AWARDED 91/100 POINTS & 4.5 STARS: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

"The wine is up front and beautifully perfumed, showing cranberry, strawberry, floral, tar and toasted spice notes on the nose. The palate is bright, juicy and smooth with youthful fruit intensity together with silky mouthfeel and supple tannins, finishing long and very attractive" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

This wine has a very clear appearance with an intense cherry red colour with touches of violet. On the nose a deep aroma of ripe berries with floral tones comes through. On the palate it is a full bodied wine with pleasant tannin in perfect harmony with its acidity giving a wine that is rich shades of red berries with spicy undertones that are typical of a quality Garnacha.

Alc: 13.50% - Seal: Screw cap
