  • Watermelon
  • Gravelly texture

"Exquisitely delicate and elegantly expressed with nectarine, crunchy apple and lemon peel aromas with a hint of sweet strawberry on the nose. The finely textured palate delivering light body and linear mouthfeel, well supported by crisp acidity. A gorgeous refined offering" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Aug 2021

"Bright, pale watermelon-pink, slightly lighter on the rim. This has an ethereal, elegantly soft bouquet, lifting aromas of raspberries, stonefruit entwined with a hint of white spice and floral. Medium-light bodied, dry to taste, vibrant nuances raspberries, nectarines melded with white peppercorns and white floral. The fruit possesses great concentration and vibrancy, enhanced by attractive lifted floral and spice; gentle acid thread flows with fine-textured phenolics, presenting a silky palate with a hint of sea salt on the finish. This is a brilliant rosé with finesse and elegance, on a refreshing, smooth palate. Match with cold-smoked salmon and steamed clams over the next 2-3 years" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews, Aug 2021

"Grown at four sites in the Southern Valleys, the highly attractive 2021 vintage (5*) is a blend of multiple red and white varieties, tank-fermented and lees-aged for two months. Pale pink, it is invitingly scented, with an array of peach, strawberry, watermelon and spice flavours, showing excellent delicacy and vibrancy, and a dry (2.4 grams/litre of residual sugar), harmonious finish" Michael Cooper

"Vibrant, pure, fresh and lifted floral bouquet with aromas of fresh red cherry, red apple skin, tropical fruit tea and rose perfume. Crisp, refreshing, salivating and dry on the palate with fruit flavours that reflect the nose, plenty of acidity and mouthwatering flavours, a light salty texture and balanced even finish. What’s not to like! Best drinking upon purchase and through end of summer 2023" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, July 2021

Pale salmon in colour, this Mediterranean style rosé is savoury with fresh sea breeze aromas of rock salt and pink peppercorns, overlaying nuances of watermelon, nectarine and botanical notes of Jasmine. The zesty palate exudes orange peel, white peach and touches of coconut, rosehip and red liquorice. This elegant rosé is perfectly poised with a gravelly texture, delivering a thirst quenching, generous and dry finish.

Isle of Beauty is the evocative name given to the French island of Corsica, located in the Mediterranean Sea. This is where winemaker David Clouston learnt his craft and became passionate about rosé.

Crops were significantly reduced due to early spring frosts and a cold, wet flowering period. Summer was incredibly dry and this lead to a very early harvest. The resulting fruit quality was outstanding and wines from the 2021 vintage might just be exceptional. Treated as a white wine in the cellar, this rosé was pressed off skins early and fermented cold in stainless steel to accentuate fruit purity. The wine was then aged on light yeast lees for two months to gain complexity and increase mouthfeel.
